let's be (ze) frank...

Who's heard of zefrank?

Some of his posts have some interesting points.

Other times it's just kinda entertaining.

Question #1: does anyone agree with my assessment that this guy is an odd cross between Matt and the apparently dead Miguel?

Question #2: is anyone familiar with an OTC drug that can make make me stop paying attention to things like this, and more attention to things like, I don't know, my final on Monday???!!!?

why I won't post this

I had thought about posting a comment about the tragedy at VT. I considered including a link to an interesting commentary about how quickly the media jumps to the wrong questions.

But I'm not going to. Since this has become an online conversation between the person with whom I live and myself, and although I only see him for around 15 minutes a week, I'll just talk to him about it when I see him next week.

And here is the same data plotted on a graph:

a farewell hat tip

Kurt Vonnegut died last night. So it goes.

UPDATE: A friend from Australia here on a Fullbright scholarship wrote an interesting piece following Vonnegut's death, which touches on the changes she sees in this country. I thought the ustoo readers might find it interesting.

About us:

This weblog is an ongoing, if periodic, effort by several friends to stay in touch, in reading material, and in ideas.

Lucky Luciano is a former Italian Stallion real estate hustler and Benedict Arnold CEO turned shady lawyer-to-be. He lives in Denver.

Ben is a Paramedic and would-be philantropist who lives in Denver. He knows everything about nothing.

Fuzzy Dunlop lives in Manhattan. He is more than capable of standing up to the stresses of a high crime urban environment.

Jess is a teacher. But have YOU given her an apple? No, you haven't. You should be ashamed of yourself. This crazy feminist currently rests her copy of Awakening in Jersey City.

Matt is a pariah, iconoclast, and professor of gambling living in Oakland.

Miguel Sanchez is not Lionel Hutz.

Daddy Brooklyn lives in Brooklyn. He hates Republicans, though he wouldn't mind being ensconced in the landed elite of New York City.

Paul just smoked my eyelids and punched my cigarette.

Ziggy Stardust has no past.
